No dealer has ever installed a sunroof on any car ! Usually a company like Auto-sunroof does it [ ASC } A dealer just replaces parts , and most of time clueless !!!!!

moparstuart

yes but they offered them dealer installed and then farmed them out to top king or who ever

I'm putting the factory A/C back on my Daytona clone when it's done, and in the mean time I've grafted on a power sunroof from a '70 Charger  ;)

How come your going with fact air VS hidden classic A/C ? I want that ultra clean under hood look ! Nothing but Elephant

1. I already have all the parts.

2. I want it to look like it came that way from the factory.

3. I have a stash of R-12 hidden away.

4. Compressor longevity is an issue when you mount it below the alternator-too much heat down there close to the exhaust manifold.

5. That's the way I want it.

6. I'm a stubborn, narrow minded prick.

what style did you use for a wing  ?????

Ted's  http://www.wingedwarriorbodyparts.com/

Basically, I bought the whole kit from Ted and the plan I've been going by so far is this:  Use Ted's parts as is, except for where I can fabricate something better. Then I'm using Ted's parts as a pattern. So far I'm using: The wing and it's braces, the nose cone, front valance, the fender scoops, and the headlight doors. I'm 85% Done fabricating my headlight pivots in steel, the Z-braces and headlight buckets (both in steel ) are next.

moparstuart

cool   my bird project has killed my budget  so my dayclona is going to sport just a wing for a while and maybe a plug
before it get a  nose  body and paint is done so the wing will be no sweat and not hurt the wallet as bad

no wing until nose--i hate that.  besides, if you're going to plug it, a '68 coronet grille would be easy enough to source...  clone a 500 for a while.  you're not gonna see another like that laying around :)

to bad  now the wings going on today just to annoy you personally , it just came in the mail monday
the motor has been done and ready to go in the car for two month , been to busy with superbird to get the motor in the charger
