Hey If Dick Landy can put the chrome R/T emblem over his stripe, so can I.  :icon_smile_big:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Yeah but Dick Landy is the Chuck Norris of Dodge drag racing- he can do whatever he wants. :icon_smile_big:

A few years back I had high hopes of working with Danette (Dick's daughter) on some merchandise for DLi, bud sadly it just wasn't meant to be. :rotz:

With all of this fabulous reference it might be nice just to do a portfolio piece and in color.

Here's a preliminary b/w pencil drawing of Dick I did, and coincidentally using copies of the same reference posted in this thread.

I was looking at all these pictures while listening to Let There Be Rock by AC/DC, and it is a great combo! :punkrocka: :punkrocka: :punkrocka: :punkrocka: :punkrocka:

I also noticed, why does it look like at one time, the '69 was running a low scoop, and at another, it looked like a A12 scoop, and at others no scoop at all? :shruggy:

No scoop:

Oh stop...look at the cars in the photos. If you spend a little time you can see the cars are different beasts. But not to fear...I've been there. Done that. Still do that!  :2thumbs:

I'm thinking the Charger with the chrome A pillars is actually the '68 car with a make-over.
Look at the difference between the '68 and '69 door stripes...then look at that '69 again.

I just came across this thread on classracer.com that actually verified that one of Landy's 1968 Chargers was indeed converted over to 1969 appearance.

In some of the pics of his '69 you can see the lock knob in the '68 position.
