Anyone know a 500 with XX29J9B220054 for a vin? A buddy just bought a car with it's engine in it. Does it still exsist. :popcrn:

I have absolutely no information on a car 220054. It doesn't show up in the old lists of the clubs, and it doesn't show up in any of the information that I've gathered over the years either. I will now add the VIN though to the list, and mark it as being just the motor that is known of.

Yea I looked on an old list I have from way back and it's not listed there. The car may not have survived but the Ol Hemi still kicking!

To be completely honest Ed, there isn't another VIN to a 500 that is real close either. Closest I have is 14 digits away. Which I still say these were all produced in batches, so could have been the first one in the batch, with the others after that being the end of the batch from that day.

I guess we are looking at the same info! That's what I have also

By the way that is the only HEMI 500 for about 20 digits though, as the others close to it are 440 powered cars.

I personally inspected the car and made the discovery.  While it was a disappointment that the car that has the motor didn't have it's original, (as was stated by the seller ::)), it was an eye opener to see the XX VIN there.  The VIN looks to be authentic, as it had quite a bit of crud and old paint that needed to be scraped away to view the number.  The second to last number may not be a 5, it is very difficult to read that digit with the motor in the car  The owner is a good guy and is anxious to reunite the motor to the car, if it  still exists, so please forward any info you all may have.

Thanks
Mike

I know a guy with a 500 hemi that is missing the engine, i will call him tomorow and get his vin. I've been meaning to call him to get it for C-500' notes, just forgot about it until now.

Me too, there are two Hemi C500's here in Houston.. I'll check with those guys.......

Is it possible that the next to last digit is an "8"? If so that would be a car that I saw years ago, but don't have other notes on the car other than its VIN. Which means I wrote that down over 10+ years ago, when all I cared about making notes of was the VIN.
