The last few weeks have been a blur...  too busy with work and other tasks to check on the C500 very often.  I did make it by last week for a while before impending severe weather (hail, tornado, 80+ MPH winds, etc) made me run for home.

Work was continuing on various parts like the hood, deck lid, fenders, doors, etc.  Below are a few pictures from the paint booth...

Fit checking continues while we wait for the repro parts still needed from AMD (trunk floor extensions, rear valance, valance corners, etc).  Both quarter panels were attached with small screws, and the fit seems great so far.  The rear window plug was just set in place to check instead of using small screws...

I will try to go back tomorrow or Friday if I have the time...

Thats all for now........................

Looking good , one thing I noticed right away on the last pic from underneath is lack of gas tank support brackets.Hope the shop still has them. Not trying to nit pick I just reinstalled those brackets on my car that's why I spotted it.

Looks nice. They are progressing quite fast. To bad the other needed parts aren't available yet, I'm sure they would be even farther along.

Hey Allen, looks great! Have you any further news from your parts suppliers time line? This post, Magnums 500, and Genos Daytona are three of the most informative posts ever put up on our site, Dukketona is a close podium finish!! cheers

Thanks for all this info!

I looked at the brackets today... they are still attached to whats left of the old trunk floor... Thanks for the heads-up though!

Thanks... Maybe too fast... A few parts have to be redone, including the bottom side of the hood... see below

Thanks Steve...  Glad you like the thread, and yes Magnum's C500 thread & Geno's Daytona thread are a great help for me as well...  I am always using Right Click, Save!  I last talked to AMD a week ago, and they were hoping to have most of the parts within a month.  I am near the top of their waiting list, so I should be able to get pieces from the first batches...  I will check with them again next week.

Troy

Thanks Troy...  Like Geno said, we need an update on your Hemi Charger...  BTW, you are now trying to trade for a Superbird?!!!...  I though you were like Danny, C500s & Daytonas...

I went look at the C500 today, not much new to report... mostly waiting on parts from AMD or me.  Several parts are being redone for various reasons...  For example, the bottom side of hood is being redone mostly due to flaws in the primer showing through the B5 Blue in many locations.   Also, the body shop forgot to remove the bumper plates prior to priming & painting...  Tongue  See pictures below.

Its stalled right now, I dropped a resume off at a big auto parts store here so I'm hoping I get the job. If I do, then the project will be back on and in full swing 2thumbs

Well,, I would LOVE to have a Daytona, but if the reality of life and being a commoner with average filled pockets plays out, then a Superbird would be a nice alternative to a Daytona.. I could still have two aeros........... I think the hemi car's equal in value if not more than your average 'Bird..........

Troy

PS: See you at Boerne or Bastrop?

Troy - I plan to go to Boerne, but not Bastrop.  The Cowtown Mopar RoundUp show is tomorrow, and the Pate Swap Meet  starts next week...

Stuart - Did you forget to type your reply?  All I see is the quote from Troy... Huh  ...Or do I need an evening cup of coffee?  shruggy

I was thinking the exact same thing about Stuarts reply. I had to read it 3 times, looking for his reply in the mix of the quotes, but I still don't see anything different.

The B5 looks good on what parts are already painted Allen. Did you get anything in the mail yet?

So Allen the question is this. Once the 500 is done, will it also share the garage with the Cuda, or will it be sent back out to the same building it came out of?
