Ohhhh I see a pretty orange car.
Congrats. Sorry about your mother Ans your back.
Keep up the good work
Q

Thanks Quintin, the color of the shiney new toy is "Torred", Red with a dash of orange in it.  In some lighting (like the picture above), the orange comes out strong.  The nearest old school color is 1969 R4 Performace Red.

I believe my back is SLOWLY getting better... I don't think my screams are keeping the neighbors awake anymore.

Allen
quintin should know the color wellmy 69 rr High school car in grandma's garage is the same R4 and so is my 500

R4 is one of my favorite colors, but my Daytona is my only R4 Mopar... though Danny has offered to double my R4 count... watch him chime in...  Wink

Hey Allen, after reading your comment in Gene's thread, lets not forget that your own restoration thread is nearing in on the 1,000 replies mark as well.

I just read Greg's latest email, work on the C500 will resume next Tuesday after the delay caused by my personal business that I had to attend to...  This weekend I need to provide some pictures & information to Greg to support the restart of work.

Greg expects to have the rear window plug re-installed in the next two weeks or so...  cheers  Expect new pictures in the next 1-2 weeks...

Hey Allen, you didn't answer about the trade? JK

I'll let someone else get the 1,000th as well. What small odds and ends parts are you still looking for Allen? I'll keep an eye out/and or ask some people around here that have some nice stashes of parts if you want. Just would have to know what your still looking for though.

The final choice was Blue Thunder.  I considered many names and for a while leaned to AeroBlue, but thought that many would think it was Arrow Blue, Blue Arrow, or some other mis-interpretation...  I did consider C5Blue, but a mental image of a bright blue Lockeed C5 transport plane ended that as well as B5C5 & C5B5...

You should have pursued the trade when I was being eaten alive by that jackal at the first body shop...

I need to get started on a needs list... I know there will be some parts needed, especially in the engine bay that was vacant when I bought the car.  I will post a list and update it when I get a chance... Thanks!

At the moment I need some information... check out my new thread:

Great choice for a name! Being that b5blue is my favorite color of all time, the thought of a b5blue C5-A Galaxy put a smile on my face   Shocked Good luck to you and I hope your back heals well. I read this thread straight through one night...I found myself rooting for you page after page and it was 3 or 4 AM by the time I got to page 48!  2thumbs

Thanks, Blue Thunder was actually my first thought... after several other diversions I ended back where I started.  As I said earlier, AeroBlue came very close to being the pick...

A very good friend is also a B5 fanatic... aka "B5Dale".  Almost all his vehicles are B5... or "near B5" blue, including a 1969 340 Barracuda, 1970 Hemi Challenger R/T, 1971 340 Demon, 199? Cadillac Allante, 200? Acura NSX, & 2006 Viper.  B5 is very near the top of my list too, but Triple Black on an old Mopar is my top combo...

WOW, reading the thread straight through!  Shocked  Its been quite a trip so far... "a long saga" indeed.  The new body shop in Arkansas has been great to work with, so I think this will have a happy ending... stay tuned!  Wink
