My first Mopar I was 14 in 1977. Bought a 70 Charger 500. Worked all summer to buy it. I would skip school and drive it while I jammed Led Zeppelin's " Immigrant Song" .   :D
Lots of people talkin' , few of them know

Another good song to cruise to is Bat Out Of Hell by Meatloaf

The radio was busted, so we popped in Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon.

All you young guys ::)  My first Mopar was a 1968 Charger R/T - bought it in 1969.  How about Jimi Hendrix playing "Purple Haze!! O0 and Rolling Stones - "Satisfaction" :icon_smile_cool:
"I can tell by your sarcastic undertones, rude comments and total lack of common decency, that you and I could be best friends".

Good choice!

Well there are a bunch of good songs, you guys mentioned most but the one that I can relate to most is "I got it one piece at a time" by Johny Cash

Hold On Loosely by 38 Special.  My first Mopar was a 75 Chrysler Cordoba.  I had mags and that was about it but I had fun rodding on that 360.

:scratchchin:  If you consider a '70 AMX a mopar then my cruisin song was (Don't Laugh) Milli Vanilli "Girl you know it's true

If you want to open it up to a non mopar than it was 38 special "Caught up in you" in my T/A
I said 1st Mopar :slap: And Milli Vanilli  Did you lip sync along to them?    :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

Well, I firmly believe that a true musclecar should NOT have a radio and technically my first mopar was a 70 amx.

As far as Milli Vanilli, gimme a break it was 1988 No, I am not a homosexual.

Lots of songs have that same beginning of PP's tune.  Damn I used to like that song.

BOSTON for me.  All of my buddies would cruise with either of their cassettes cranked singing the words to every song.  Tom S. & Barry G. can play the 12 string like no other and to top it off Brad D.'s voice is one of a kind.

Great song!!  I remember waiting for that song to play on 94 HJY so I could record it on Cassette.  Your Charger didn't happen to have slotted mags, did it?

My first car was a 1969 Barracuda Formula S 340 fastback.
In 1978, I got my license (as soon as I turned 16), and bought the 'Cuda less than two months later, for $450.
It was F8 originally, but I repainted it HEMI orange!

The CARS released their first album by the same name in 1978, and I inherited an 8 track player from my brother along with a couple of household stereo speakers. I got jury-rigged power to the player via the fuse panel with an alligator clip (which incidentally, had a second purpose), and let the speakers in their big wooden boxes roll around in the space under that big rear glass.

Every time I hear "Let the good times roll", or "My best friend's girl" or "Moving in stereo" I can't help but feel I'm right back in my Barracuda.
