I have two ports that I can hook the Dist to for vacuum adavances. Is there a better one to use? I will add that most of my year's of Moparing I have used mechanical advances. I think the one off the front mettering block is ported so is there less vacuume there than the one on the base plate?

I know I need to unhook the vacuum when timing the engine. Hooked up the Dist to the mettering block and shot the timing again and was still at the same spot. It is a stock Dist for now and holds vacuum.

I hate stock again ;D Been a long time.

generally I do not use vacuum advance at all , this will shorten the curve & allow more advance at idle which the engine generally responds better with , if you are going to use vacuum it has to be hooked to the right side of the front metering block high up to work right
