If you gently bump the nosecones into the front wall, you can BARELY squeeze by the tail at the door

Wouldnt it suck if you bumped into the wall too hard and damaged the nosecone and then the door came down and smoked the wing and damaged it too....man, that would be funny but if I owned the car..it would suck :smilielol:

Well, thankfully we don't live in a three stooges physics world...

I thought the Daytonas used modified Cornet Fenders?..  :shruggy:

That'd be the 'Bird.

Dodge sheet metal on a Plymouth... whodathunkit??

The strange thing is how the body lines on the Coronet fender line up with the body lines on the Plymouth door.

I took in account that number Hemi Geno said was incorrect in the 1970 Scat Pack ad.which was 208.5 and added the daytona nose dimension 18inches .And came up with that familar to me 226.5 in.Which is in the supercars book

:scratchchin: well the dodge fenders line up because of the common cowl hard points..

Maybe the superbird with its more laid back angle wing.Is the longer wingcar .Thanks Jim

Pettybird, 62max or some of the other 'Bird owners perhaps can chime in, but I didn't think the wing extended past the rear bumper?   :shruggy:

The wing is three inches short of the bumper.Overall length less nose rub strip is 222.5"

Is that # given for hot or cold climate?? Expansion vs contraction

Expansion  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :icon_smile_big:

Not only expansion .What about people that install the nose seals backwards on superbirds for that daytona look. That adds about another 1/2 in Now getting back to the daytona length.!8.875 is what came up with after dividing 12 in into 226.5

Is that exact or est ? what if say , the fender to door gap is 3/8 vs 3/16 , wouldn't that change the length ?
