Should I make the scenes available even though the quality stinks?

Yes, maybe a better copy will come out of the woodwork for it

No, if they don't look and sound good, who cares

We've talked about the missing scenes thing on here a few times and although a small handful of us recall seeing them, I seem to be the only person who has a copy.  Now keeping in mind that my copy of them is of very very poor quality, is this one of those things that are worth my putting on Youtube or something for the rest of the world to see or not?

TruckDriver

If it has been talked about before, I never saw it. :shruggy:

Of course! Something is better than nothing. How did you get ahold of the tape (I'm assuming) was it an ex-rental, old release, taped from TV?

It was taped from tv and that's why the quality suffers.  I took the poor images and spliced them into one of my good copies to make a full length viewable version but I promise you, it's only interesting to hardcore fans of the movie.

Do you want someone to try to do some freshining up of the video for you?  Depends on how "bad" the footage is, as to whether or not I would be able to do anything with it.

Ghoste

If you think you can help it then I'm all for it.

Well, I'm going to try and get just those scenes loaded onto the computer then and get them up on youtube or something I guess.   I'm also sending a copy to 69_500 to see if he can "digitally enhance" the footage I have.  We'll have to wait and see how this all turns out.

FastbackJon

You could play the VHS it on an old black and white 13" TV then use a digital camera pointed at the TV to record it onto the camera as a video, then upload that to youtube.

Noticed one more "missing" scene while burning a copy.  When Larry is robbing the store, the secretary comes in with the managers coffee and Larry helps himself to it.
