does it pull out from behind or take the front lens off and turn and pull? They are both frozen up.

ALso what is the bulb# 1156?. Has anyone tried an LED bulb?

Thanks!

I think it's take the lens off and push & turn. Bulb number is 1157 for clear, 1157NA for amber, and yes, I have an LED bulb set in my cream 66.....they ain't cheap, and they don't light up as bright during the day

My car with LED bulbs is on the right, stock 1157NA bulbs on the left

Yep, lens off then turn and pull. Here are the leds (1157) I used for mine. I went with super white instead of the amber and I think they look pretty good.

Those bulbs look pretty good because they look like they are 360º firing (LED's all around) and light up the whole lense....

Curious though did you have to modify your flasher circuit at all?  Do they still flash when the turn signal is used?

They did flash without changing the flasher but were a bit dim when flashing. I changed my tail lights to led and had to replace the flasher now they work just like normal.

Ive seen other cars without an amber bulb so I didnt think there would be any problem but if I need to change back its only going to take a couple min. they are bright enough for others to see them so I think it will be ok. cops have seen them and have not pulled me over yet.

So you are saying you had to use a special flasher to compensate for the low wattage LED's?

I did run them for a few months without a new flasher and they worked fine, you could tell they were flashing but with the new flasher they are more intense and solid when flashing. So yes, to get the best effect run them with a new flasher. Mine was about 9 bucks and simple to change out.

I'm using the electronic flasher from Schucks....was around $10....flashes the same with LED bulbs or regular bulbs
