Not to offend you but why take up band width posting picture after picture that anyone can see the same thing by just gong to the link ??

Good question - I believe the reason is that a few years down the road these pic's will still be here and searchable and the ad will be long gone.

I certainly appreciate the effort and service.

the ad & pictures will be gone in a week or so, that's why pics are posted in this thread

now they are forever archived here, one of the many reasons this is THE place for wing car information and history

Yup because 6 years down the road , when another new owner wants info on this car or the guy who owned it in 1977 and wants to see it again is looking for it the pictures will still be here .   Or perhaps a build sheet or the original motor or trans shows up , a record of the car will be here .

GO SELL CRAZY SOMEWHERE ELSE WE ARE ALL STOCKED UP HERE

Clean looking Bird.   Only had 35,000 miles in 1980.   So it hasn't traveled too far in 35 years.   May have had a exterior repaint along the way, but the interior, trunk paint and engine bay paint look original.    If the A/C can be made to work, it would be a nice trade off for the column auto.

if only  the internet & this site was going in the 70s eh  , all that charger & aero hardware  information / pictures saved  :o :coolgleamA:

When the car had a short stay in Northern Indiana I looked it over pretty good. Good car, even took it for a spin. That was 10 years ago now. At that time it was still wearing it's original paint.

Anyone know what that under dash A/C unit is worth? I have one from my 70 Charger. Thanks.

Tan top does a great job ! :2thumbs: this Superbird is 5 min. from me, He had 12 wing cars at one time including two Daytona's, I think he wants $125,000 for this car. It is a very nice bird.

Dealer installed does not surprise me. However, the Chrysler units were not particularly unique and underdash units were and still are available to retrofit cars without a/c. What is unquie about it being Chrysler Air Temp unit is that it used the OEM style Mopar compressor. Other companies used whatever was OEM at the time and most retrofit a/c units now use compact Sankyo or ND units.

BROCK

Sears used Ford compressors on everything they added A/C to back in the day.  Dealer install is much better if only because it uses Mopar parts!!!
