TDC Meet Grand Rivers, Kentucky

Hey thought I would give every one an early notice on this. I talked to Wayne last night and he confirmed the dates and location. August 1- 3 are the dates for this year. His computer crashed a few weeks ago so he hasn't got the web site updated for awhile. It is at Grand Rivers, Kentucky Hwy 24 exit 31. New location to have great fun at for the group.

The dates for the meet are August 1-3 gather on Friday and leave Sunday afternoon. This is beautiful country and we should have a great time together. Brian There are no plans for a northeast meet at all this year that I am aware of. Wayne is trying to go where the most members are by regions, so if you guys and gals want another meet I recomend trying to sign up new members. That is how we have kept one in the midwest.

I was just hoping to be able to do a three day trip thing as our el camino might be going to Tenn for Chevellabration this year as they are featuring true SS el caminos which my dads happens to be.  If you remember my charger from last year, his el camino is just as detailed, if not more and with being a factory triple black car, it is absolutely stunning to see.  Even better is the elky has only 44,000 original documented miles with only one repaint on the car.  Anyway, the wife is giving me a hard time about being away for such a long time as that show is a 3 day show with a 2 day trip down and a 2 day trip back.  Needless to say, she will be home with our 1 year old daughter the whole time as she doesn't think it is good to be having our daughter inside the truck for that long.   So as it stands, I don't think I will be doing much traveling for shows this year.   Oh well, hopefully better luck next year.

The flyers aren't ready yet to the best of my knowledge. Wayne is having computer problems on his main system that is where he keeps most of that  info. He is hoping to have the system up and running soon. I will check to see if we can get a flyer soon and let you know.

Mike, do you know if there will be a meet in Madison Wisconsin this year?

NO There will not be one in Madison this year. The Grand Rivers, Ky meet is the taking the place of Madison WI. and Jefferson City, Mo. We are trying to move them around a little. If we always have them in the same place it is great for those who just want to drive a short distance. But honestly you have seen your back yard.  The most fun I have are at the meets away from home. Meeting new people and enjoying a new place it is definitely worth it.

Mike's right, I've met alot of great Charger people at these meets and you see cars you have not seen before I enjoy driving so it's even better for a guy like me. See you in Kentucky!!

No it does not sound like we are going to do Nebraska City this year. We are trying something different this year. Next year is yet to be determined.

My family is planning on attending, So is my friend from Tipton, and the guy with the black 73 everyone is always drooling over is planning on attending.  These are the ones I know for sure are planning to attend at this time. Are you going to nmake it Stuart?

I understand this is a charger meet but would it be a problem with me bringing my Superbird and maybe another guy with a bird? Word from Stuart is I can park next to him

    Just bring some good pictures of the 500's then they will know you have chargers .

I was talking to Wayne last night and told him you were wanting to bring your bird. He said bring it that would be cool. It is is normally open to chargers only but we usually have a few other models show up. In Texas they won't let them on the town square, mostly due to the number of spaces on the square is limited so we keep it just chargers. Texas is usually 80 to over 100 chargers a show.

Looking forward to seeing everyone that can make it.

I plan to see you guys there  , but I have a picnic to attend with my Army unit that'll consume Saturday, so I'll be limited to Friday evening or Sunday.  Where specifically are we planning to meet?  There is a Classic Car museum near there, just off I-24...but have no knowledge of what's happening then.  I may be able to round up a few more guys from Clarksville, TN to attend, but there are no other Chargers I know of in town.  Thanks, Jerry

According to the Dodge Charger Registry site most of the events will center around or at least originate from the Best Western Motel. We may try to orginize some short trips to different hot spots.  Can't wait to see everyone there.
