Another tire size question

I'm about to purchase some tires for my '72.  I like my 3rd gens how I like my women, struting around with their butt in the air.  I don't want the back end sticking up too high and my options are limitted since I have 14" rims.  I was thinking 235/70/14 (27" diameter) in the rear, 225/60/14 (24.6" diameter) up front.  Will that give me the forward lean I'm looking for or will it be too much and look goofy?

I think it'll be good. The heights are almost what I have on my Road Runner and the rake/look is right for me.

You can always let air out of the front tires.

Any pics of the RR with the tires?

:drool5:  Yup, was admiring that thread a couple weeks ago.  Really dig the stance too.

Don't you want a little wider than 235 in the rear?

Oops, I had to check the heights on my tires, and they are different than yours. In the rear I have 295-50, just a tick under 27" (your height). But on the front I have 215-65, at 26" (1.3 more than yours).

Torsion bar adjustments can help get the look right but then you can run into alignment issues. Plus I have a mono leaf CalTrak setup so not stock there. Maybe my RR is not a good sample for your case. Sorry.

I would love to but with 14 inch rims they don't go much bigger.  ...or safely bigger, anyway.

Yeah, but maybe my original plan will be too much of a difference after looking at yours   :scratchchin:
