Nice, but i think youll find its a challenger, you can also see the color diff between the charger fenders and the challenger doors.

But, overall, a cool photochop.  :yesnod:

Chop or not, [we know it is   ::)]  That hood style looks great on that 70'.  Hmmmmmmmm :scratchchin: :scratchchin: :scratchchin:

regardless of the chop, showcars actaully claims to make the E body style hood for 2nd gen chargers.  There is a really crappy and grainy pic on there site.

That doesn't look too bad I guess!

Interesting chop.  I guess it wouldn't be too hard to do something like that, since E-bodies are B-bodies from the cowl forward, right?  You'll have the obvious problem of the body lines not matching, though.

Oh, and that hood DOES look awesome.  I think it would be great on a custom-done Charger.

someone had way too much time ;)

Wish I could remember the guy's name.   Think he wanted to buy my car.   This was his wife's car and I think it came out really nice.   Looks factory!   :icon_smile_big:

And here is a friend's car:

He had an old, rusty hood and had his body guy weld the scoop part onto the duster hood.   Looks better in person.     :yesnod:

Side shot of that third gen.   Someone was really good at body work.   :o

That 3rd Gen. looks awsome with that hood. Does anyone make that in fiberglass I wonder?   :scratchchin: :scratchchin: I think I might have to get one made for my 70' R/T.

LOW, maybe if it wasn't a real R/T.   Doesn't look "right" to me on a second gen.     :ahum:

Personally I would have used a barracuda for the back half, the lines fit better IMO.

Daytona R/T SE

Here's a shot of the Charger/Challenger hood that I made, it's really not that hard, the inner framework of an E-body and a B-body hood are surprisingly similar

Since you guys started it , I always thought a mix of an E-body with a wing car would be pretty cool

Don't think anyone does.   He (or a body man) made it by grafting the 2 hoods together as stated above.

Nupe, my car needs sooooooooooo much work. I'm not worried about a numbers right resto. I'm just going to build it the way I want. And right now, I'm leaning towards the Restomod/Roadracer style, whatever that is!!!  LOL. Power, handling, comfort & driveability are whats most important to me.

Kinda like this car.......
