So, what DOES constitute a car being "worthy" of the name Daytona?  Do you really want to play that game?

:scratchchin:

pettybird

heck--he only has another 9 hours to look a the pic and make another useless observation.

THE CHARGER PUNK

Found more pics of it(hence the high daytona lettering, except it looks like its wearing magnum 500s now) superbird nose cone looks like it fits a 70 charger front clip or those coronet fenders?,Looks like a cool car being orange on burnt orange, id sure as hell drive it :2thumbs: :yesnod:-MATT

daytonalo

Are those Rocket launchers under nose ?????? OMG what a mess !!

daytonalo

It needs a to have a plug , no vinyl top , orig style wing and nose with operational as orig headlight doors .

Larry

Those arent rocket launchers under the nose .The guy was innovative and probably used something he had around. They look like to me handle bar mounted motorcycle turn signals .From a Yamaha or Honda is my guess

I always thought his car looked pretty cool in this pic, are you sure he doesn't still have it?

Since when does a CLONE have to be done so well that you c`ant tell it from a real one! I would love to do a daytona clone with a 70 model.I would put a steel nose cone and wing and do it in petty blue with a red rump and have NO PLUG.Heck I don`t like going to a car show and walk around drooling over a daytona for a half an hour just to find out its a clone.I love a clone done the way the factory never offered it,color wise and so on.Done with some personal touches.clones  are not real so why go to all the trouble and expense to try to make them out to be something they are not.Just my 2 cents.

Since that's an F-14 Tomcat, and he said moving his fleet, maybe he's a Naval mechanic?

You and me both.  Remember when they were brand new and state of the art?  (hey, kind of like wing cars  :o )
