I seen a car that looks a lot like that one...In fact, I just looked out my office window and saw it again.

This one wins with the four speed...damn cool.  Interested to see if it sells.

Question regarding the seats. Should they have headrests, thought it was standard in 69.

I think since the 500's were built before Jan.01,1969, they were still optional equipment. After Jan.01, it became Federally mandated.. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, since this car had a SPD of December 11, 1968 it was exempt. The left and right head restraint was an option (C31) at the start of production, and then beginning on Jan 1, 1969 it was required.

As clean as this car looks, I'm curious why the "Charger" emblem is missing on the grille, and there is no plastic tail light cover in the trunk.
Are these early-build issues or just incomplete things on this car?

Humorous and sad at the same time. My first set of seat covers purchased back in 1994 had the same crappy buttons and the new ones sold today still have the same problem. There has to be a button manufacturer somewhere in the world who makes (or can make) the correct buttons. Frustrating!

I saved a set of black bottons from a seat set that was going to be replaced. Nothing like originals.. Replaced the dang reproduction with the originals. On another Charger. I took the botton backing off the seat (of course, the botton itself was already off). Then, I trimmed ever so slightly the abundant amount of vinyl in the inside area (back) of the botton. I put the back w/tabs back into the top botton. I placed some gorilla clue and tapped over so lightly with a flat punch and small hammer on the back. This more or less jammed the backing part of the botton into the top botton half with the vinyl. It was a very tight fit and seems to be working quite nicely now....
