I borrowed a friend's Home Depot Lincoln flux core welder.  By the way, the HD stands for Home Depot model, not heavy duty.  The flux core sux for body work.  I ended up with a Lincoln 180C for $1200 with the tank and auto darkening helmet.  Perfect welds the first time out.  It's a 220V machine and I'm sure I don't look back wishing I bought a cheaper welder.

I own the best of the best, HTP. You can't go wrong with a machine built like theirs.  They're worth checking into.  :Twocents:
