Canadian DAYTONA's Do we know them all?

I've been tracking them since I was a kid. I'd really like to compile a list of known facts about them.
For starters were there 51 Daytona's sold new in Canada?
From what I understand the first Daytona shipped came up to the Great White North...is this true?

Well, here's what I know so far:

I have 31 Canadian Daytona VINs logged, but not all of those have Fender Tag info to go with them in what I've collected anyway.  I don't remember offhand whether there were supposedly 50 or 51 shipped up north, but that's about right.  I thought it was 50 exactly, but I'd have to check.

And yes, you are correct - 414619 is the first shipped Daytona is the Dr. Cheesborough (sp?) car that was offered in the DSAC Newsletter here a few months back.  It's interesting though, that the shipping date of 6/27 is only 17 days after the SPD of 6/10.

Anything else I can help answer for ya?

Just out of curiousity what was the good Dr. asking for his car?

I don't think he listed an exact price, but my recollection was that it would take high $200k's to purchase what was a repainted (in '71) but otherwise unrestored Daytona.

There's only one "First" car though, and that one will always be at the top of the Shipping List anyway.

Do you know how many are SE's?
Dr Cheeseboroughs, and this R4 one that was on Ebay years ago:
414666 is also a SE.

I know of three Canadian SE Daytonas - the two you mentioned plus the F8 car that has the custom flower-print vinyl roof.  There are almost certainly a few more SE's out there, but those are the ones I've confirmed as such.

Does anyone have pics of the other Canadian Daytonas?

Yeah, you almost didn't make it out of the country with it, did you?     Quite a story there - and if you'd ever care to keypunch it in I'm sure the rank-and-file guys in here would love to hear about it.

Glad to hear from you, Jim - was just reading another awesome tale of yours about the green Daytona in MCG.  Congrats, that's a GREAT article!!!

True, the list of Daytonas sold new in St. Joseph, MO is pretty short.  Two, to be exact.

Jim's black Canadian car does have quite a drag racing history too.  There are several pictures of it posted on here from it's days terrorizing the dragstrip.
