Notice no head rest, but head rest mounts.
Great engine shots from the era.
Rare power window car!
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I have most (not all) of the Lindeman shows on tape.  He really enjoyed cars and motorsports and he beat the snot out of a lot of great muscelcars.

Classic!  :smilielol:

The music reminded me of the chase scene from Bullitt.

I see it had the recall wheel replacement hubcaps on it and it looked like the marker light housing was painted stripe color :scope:  .....anyone know who's car this is/was?

IIRC, Danny L. knows the owner of this car, and it still exists.

It is an awesome clip, but I think if I was them I'd have done the brake tests last - those flat spots they put on the tires had to have vibrated like crazy after that...   :o

Nope, not after all those burnouts........  :icon_smile_big:

Seriously, that's a very cool car and man, to have the car and that video.. I hope Danny can get that to them........... Wouldn't that be a nice car display....

I did notice the unusual full-wheel covers on the car.....  Those 14's or a VERY rare set of 15's that all HEMI's in '69 were supposed to get?

I think those are W15 Monaco/Polara hubcaps, which were all 15".  To be honest, I don't know if the recall wheel cars were "supposed" to be given these hubcaps, or the turbine-style '68 wheel covers on replacement steel wheels.  I've seen both, and it might have depended on what they had laying around also.

That was very cool, thanks for posting the link. I am heading out to order one of those cool machines from my local Dodge Store :2thumbs:

They were supposed to be replaced with the 14 magnum style.See top line on attachment.
I would guess they gave the owner a choice of what they wanted.

Brian,

I used to have a full-size scan of that document (both pages) - but in my haste to post it a while back, I resized the pic and then hit "Save".  Now, I have an almost-too-small-to-read version of that document...   :brickwall:

Anyway, if you read Page 1 it says that Dart/Polara/Monaco (and Coronet/Charger with hemi) were given replacement steel wheels and wheel covers.  The Road Wheel application reference appears to be for Coronets & Chargers without the hemi engine.

Grab your magnifying glass and see if you agree (apologies to any farsighted guys out there)...

Your right Gene.
I didn't read it that close.
The statement of install wheel covers leaves the door open to any 15" cover on hand.

69_500

Been trying for the past oh 10+ years to get the owner of that car to finally get the car out and let some sun shine on it. Car has been parked since 1972, or possibly 1973. I know the car has only moved 2 times since I was born, and that was from one barn to a new storage sight when the owner of the car moved nearly 15 years ago. The car hasn't moved an inch in the last 15 years. It sits in some good company though, next to a 67 GTX HEMI Convertible, another 67 HEMI GTX, 68 Hurst Dart, and a 68 Hurst Barracuda, and then there is the lowly 74 Duster 360 4 speed car parked about 2 inches from the front bumper of the car. And last but not least is a 1957 chevy Bel Air fuel injected 4 door car with under 15,000 miles on it.

All in all the car is in pretty darn good shape, and I have tried to buy the car from the guy for about 12 years now. He wants a 4 speed HEMI Charger, and I don't have one to swap him.
