Wonder why they can't or don't make radials with the bias look, that is the square sides on the tread.  Modern lo pro tires on 18s may handle well, but they aren't going on my cars.

I think the "rolled" shoulders on the radial treads is integral to their smoother breakaway at the limit of traction.

The radial tire would certainly be a better handling tire.  In the late 80s I had another 68 charger with bias ply and it was very drivable with those tires.  The thing I can recall is that it steered around a bit on grainy type ashfault surfaces.  If the car never sees radials I won't see the difference.

Where can a person get some Goodyear polyglass for a reasonable price?  There is Coker for 180.00 per tire, to my door, which is kind of steep.

Every street car I have is only gonna wear radials.  The difference is more obvious when you get into trouble than when you're just cruising easy.

I was told the thicker bars, like the RT ones, make for a rough ride...
My stock R/T bars ride just fine.  I don't find them hard.

1969 Charger RT/SE - I remember standing in the Dodge showroom in 1969 drooling over the new Charger.  My parents bought a Chevelle next door at the Chevy dealer.  ( still getting consoling over that )   Wanna trade your car?  My new site:  http://www.CARSNOTFORSALE.com   A big thank you to my wife, for posting for me when I'm not home to do so.  Thanks, honey.
