72 headlight question / help

ive had my 72 charger se 440 for 4 1/2 years im doing a ground up resto when I first tried 2 turn on/ open the headlights i pulled the switch the brake light started flashing and the door buzzer was going off when the door was closed and the headlight doors would not open, can someone  please help me out, because I'm putting the whole thing back together and i need 2 fix this problem.

sounds like a ground issue- make sure all grounds are clean and tight- even add one to the back of the dash to the frame!!!  rear block to the firewall on the same bolt as the voiltage reg.!
