Daytona R/T SE replica project

« Reply #1 on: August 13, 2008, 10:33:55 PM »

I looked for years 10+? for a better pair of 70 fenders-all I found were either worse than the ones I had, outrageously priced-or both. I finally fixed the rusty, bent ones I had brickwall

Good luck  2thumbs coolgleamA

Classic Body Designs has said they will be reproducing 70 charger fenders.  It was in a post on this site.  I dont know when though.  I got the impression it wont be real soon.

Sheetmetal's value isn't static.

Wait too long for the awesome deal, and pretty soon the higher prices that you were originally turning down will become the awesome deal.

Old & damaged 1968/69 fenders are gonna be falling in price now that the GOOD repros are getting here.

You could find a crunched or rusty 1970 fender and just splice the front end of the skin onto a used '68/69 fender.
