Hallo can anybody tell me if this wheel combination will fit a 69 charger and if it will what backspacing do i need front and back. Front 15x8 with 245/60R15 rear 15x10 295/50R15 :icon_smile_question: :icon_smile_question: :icon_smile_question:

mikepmcs

I'd go 235's in the front with 7's and do the 295's in the back with 8.5's myself(I have that combo)

I got 15x10 with 5" backspacing in the back(295/50), and in the front 15x8 with 3.375" (225/60)
Mean as hell!  :2thumbs:

Im looking at Crager SS series 08/61 and the 15X10 have 4 1/4 Backspace and the 15x8 for the front have the same back space will that work on my 69.
And just to be sure the Charger have 5x4.5,4.75,5 Bolt pattern right.

Thanks
Mike

Hemidog

5x4.5 is the correct pattern, but I an not sure about that backspacing.... :shruggy:

4.25" isn't enough backspacing for the 15x10's. You need at least 5" and some even run 5.5"

i'm also doing that exact same setup...he's right tho...summit only has backspacing up 2 4.5...sucks...
does that mean custom order Dropship? that would be $$$

Hey i just got mail from Crager telling me they can make them with the right backspacing on special order, do you think i should go with 5 or 5 ½".

Foreman72

dude...by all means give me all the info u gather on them (cost, how they fit when u put em on...ect...)

i'm gonna do the exact same thing...15x10 in the back and 15x8 in the front...3.5 in backspace in the front and 5 in the back...

o btw...i think u should go w/ 5" IMO...5.5 seems like just to much...i dunno...whatever works for you...i personally just don't want to loose the design in the wheel...

but let me know how much they run u cuz i'm gonna get em aswell...thanks a ton :2thumbs:

I have to go to a dealer to get a price but so far a got a part number for the rims. The part number is 61015 spec. 5 1/2"  this is a 15x10 S/S Unilug with a 5.5" backspacing.
So im gonna try to contact a dealer next week to get a price and the i will get back.

chargerboy69

I run a 10" wide wheel and I have a 5.5" backspace. It works perfect. :2thumbs:

If you're having them custom made anyways, maybe you should ask about getting them in a 4.5" bolt pattern instead of unilug?

Dreyer

Just a little update summit has the rims for 231,69$ a piece but only as unilug.
can anybody tell me if there is any disadvantages with unilog rims compared to the rims with normal bolt pattern.

Thanks

Foreman72

 i could get 17s at that price...man alive thats expensive...

c thats what i found 2 and i really don't want to get a set custom dropshipped...but i'd rather go w/ 5" backspace over 4.25 any day...guess i'll have to get them customed...shoot...and away goes more cash :flush:

can u post some pics of their fitment tommy?

Question is are you guys getting any rubbing when you're pounding some performance out of the car?
:scratchchin:

tommymac

I havent bought them yet, still trying to see if they would fit ok ,With 4.25 backspace would they be too close to the springs or the fenders,i'm thinking on just getting 8" all around,275 60 15 rear and 255 60 /15 fronts. BFG TA's

Mass_Mopar

5" backspacing on my 18x9.5" wheels with 295/45/18s that are 28.5" tall is too little backspacing, 5.5" I felt would be too much, but centerline didn't offer them in 5.25".  I bet if I rebuilt my rear suspension they wouldn't hit on New England bumps  :brickwall:   I used to have Cragar S/S 15x8" unilug wheels with 275/60/15s and they fit fine.  As-is, my current setup only rubs on the worst 10% of bumps, so I'm not too worried about it.
