I remember seeing that flamed bird many years ago.

I also remember another black bird down south several years ago. It had a tan vinyl top and the engine compartment was clear over bare metal

Black should have been one of the choices for bird colors

OMG, Nasscar, do you have the magazine by chance?
Any other photos of it as well?
WOW, it's been a long time since I seen a photo of that car.
That is badass.........My Bird will be black, flames maybe also.

Thanks again  Mark

We gave serious thought to adding ghost flames to the daytona, but decided against it. My wife has asked repeatedly to add ghost flames to the superbird, but so far I've convinced her that I can build her a car that will look great without flames.
I have no idea where the magazine went to that I copied those pics from. It would take hours to go through all of the magazines that I have stored away.

Is this the bird?

I have this very issue of CARS magazine...and bought it new too.
Does that make me old?

I like the vinyl roof Daytona. Where can I get trim? icon_smile_big scratchchin

The flame superbird is pretty cool. If I found a RR or Satellite, maybe?

Found another Bird and the Daytona convert' cars. I've never seen the bird before, anyone know if it's still around?

Are those stock mirrors on the flamed Superbird?  They look similar to optional mirrors on a 70 Charger.

that was Barb Bowman's car.  I'm not sure if it's still wearing that scheme or not...
