Will Hollywood movies ever be filmed somewhere besides the desert between Las Vegas and LA?

Yeah.  They shot a lot of this one in Mexico.

There are weights on the back of the Chevelle.

The different wheelies in the F&F movies are a perfect example of the right and wrong ways to use CGI effects.

It looked fake as hell when the Charger was hydraulically raised from below in the first movie.  And they hacked a car up to build it.

But this time, once they digitally erase the Chevelle's rear end weights out of the image, it will look indistinguishable from a real wheelie.  And there was probably very little harm done to the car in the process.

Man, they really guessed right about the gasoline tanker as a viable prize worth stealing.

The script for that tanker hijack scene was probably being written 2 years ago.  Gas must have seemed way overpriced (and therefore, ready for a cheapening) at the time.  But instead gas proceeded to go up like another whole dollar since then.

You're not the only one who's seen The Road Warrior a few times, dumbass.

And it could argued that TRW stole it from hundreds of old westerns.  Indians on horseback attacking a stagecoach is one of THE classic action scenes.

I said the screenwriters got lucky that gasoline kept going up from when they wrote that scene for this movie.  It helps make the tankers seem like a bigger score in the minds of the audience.

does anyone in the world pay more than uk for fuel?currently about $2 a litre?

Yup, and only one old fart guarding it with a pistol doesn't lend much authenticity to the situation.

BTW, does any govt. actually allow people to drive around with five tankers full of flammable liquid? Even in a third-world country that would seem like a big no-no.
