Horn sounding a little tired

Can the horns on a '68 charger be tuned in?  Mine aren't blowing as loud as they should be, they sound a bit muffled.  I've had them hooked to direct power and they sound the same as installed.

should be a small set screw...   play with it a bit - should help a little

Use some fine sandpaper to ensure you've got both good power (green wire I believe, connection gets corroded) and good ground.
