Work on my Daytona project slowed for spring break, have it all taken apart again and just finished the roll cage and welding in the sub frame connectors. Now to finish a little body work in the engine compartment and bottom side of the car then its in to the paint booth to spray the suspension componets and bottom of the car then back to reassembly so we can get it on the ground to finish the body work. trying to have it all done and out of paint by the middle of May.

Its a custom kit from Chris Alston Chassis works. The front bars had to be made to fit within an inch of the A pillar and the removable door bars were extra, the rear bars are part of a kit they sell but you have to ask for the bars to clear the back seat. Still need room for my Grand kids to ride with me.

The engine will be a mpefi 440, 727 with gearvendors OD. will post more pics as its painted and going back together. This project has taken me ten years collecting the parts and doing the work, If it wasnt for the local college it would still be a long way off. Should have it all done in time to drive it up to Hot August Nights.

if you look at the firewall you will see we removed the AC and Heating connections along with all the holes we didnt need, plan on installing a Aftermarket Ac/heat /defrost unit next year.
