since theres header I went with a flexible dipstick tube. install was effortless. usually, they tell me, it sucks. I recommend one. it was a little loose so i siliconed it well. I like to use Ducati grey silicone, it has always worked super excellent over the years on my bikes, which a real finicky and exhude massive amounts of heat and stress . I am using it on this car, just to be extra uptight.

one concern is the oil pan..they said it was 'lo profile'. doesnt look so lo profile to me. I am going to make a skidplate later in the week. the girdle added some drop as well again. paranoia.

in further celebration of paranoia over kill, in addition to the 'polyloc' motormounts I installed a Schumacher torque strap they supply the bracket and you have to drill your k frame. I suppose I should be super uptight and weld it on as well, but I have to draw the line somewhere. at least it looks cool.

of course, I forgot to get a throw out bearing, and..uh..Kargen aint got em for 18 spline transmissions, otherwise we coulda stuck that in as well. o well..at leat the fuel pumps in view of the polylocs...appaernetly theres interlocking metal inside the 'rubber' so even if it tears it wont come off

old news to you guys here, but this is my first 'real' musclecar build and today was a really special day for me. I never thought, after years of fantasizing that I would doing this. I feel really really good right now. I would really like to thank the people that run this site, and all the people that are willing to post and share info. This site has been invaluable to me in this project.

also..for those interested..they way we got the headers in was to unbolt the starter, the brake booster and prop valve and the pitman arm etc. left it all loose, but strapped with wire, nested the starter up in header and then jacked the car waaay up and weaseled em in from underneathe.. then re bolted it all in a big interlocked mass. took about an hour a side.
these tti headers fit nice.

Diito! ....... I run mine with regular rubber mounts though, not a big fan of the vibration often found with poly mounts.
