I was meaning you should have picked up the block that goes to Ricks' 500 when it was for sale, and then traded it to him for the nose cone.

Sometimes I wish I was about 20 years older so I'd have more cars, but the way I see it is that I have about a good 15 years or so longer to enjoy them at the end than some others.
yeah i know but my problem is if i acctually got my hands on ricks block i dont think i would give it up to rick  , It's really hard seeing it avalible and him not buying it , and wanting one my self also !!!!

I wasn't meaning sell it to someone else. I was saying buy it and trade it for the nose cone.

Ah and one of these days I hope to have the same set up in my garage that you have JR.

HMMMM. It's not a 'smashed up daytona nose - just a little worn - Just needs a little TLC   ;)  lets say experienced !!!! Of course you can buy the reproduction daytona nose for 10k + don't think repairs will be quite that much and by the way 'someone' said that a 'real' nose should not go on a clone so where is your bid  :icon_smile_question:

Rick came thru the 'hernia' surgery just fine.  :icon_smile_big: They said he talked right up to the last - but of course he finished his 'bird' story before undergoing the knife. ( took em to 'bird' heaven)

I knew when it was over when I heard his VOICE :smilielol: :smilielol: So I guess you're all out of luck, for now.   :'( :'( and I thought I'd finally get rid of this JUNK :brickwall: :brickwall: He's slinking around here expecting sympathy but I told him when he gives 'birth' Ill think about it.

Hope you all have a good 'turkey' day and remember to enjoy your 'bird'.

The 'psssst' off wife.   Geerrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

there ya go--it's all of $800 with my $1000 bid.

(edit) well, then I got to be smart and entered a bid of $1350.  that way there's no excuse for you to not buy that damn motor.  there's your "real parts" touche.  I can't believe you won't pick it up.  he was never going to part with this crap nose, either, and now it's worth more.  you two can't bump your heads together and figure out what the motor would do to that 500?

WingCharger

DARN!! Wish I could see the car this thing came off of! A cb antenna on the wing... :hah:

Hey it's the secretary taking dictation again :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :shruggy:

There was a reproduction nose, BB Sam, bidding ended on Tuesday the 25th. by Gean Gregory who does real nice re-pro work,
ad# was 130269371726 on e-bay. Asking $10,500 (think it may have been the only one he had left)

If that motor comes back up you should really consider buying it and then I can make Rick get rid of one of those silly cg 500's. Might actually pay the attorney fees. :smilielol:

one very psssst off wife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I talked to Gean Gregory at Monster Mopar, and he said he was retooling to make more Daytona noses... He wanted to borrow my recently acquired (for $5,000) NOS Daytona nose for the project...  :eek2:

If the project is still on, looks like he wants a premium for his last old repro...

Looks like y'all no longer have an interest in the C500 motor...?...so I am free to get it for my Charger 500... Thanks!

As far as the motor is concerned the reason I haven't bought it is because my original 500 had a 1970 replacement block and after 28 years I've no idea what condition it is in, it may just make a nice expensive 'lawn ornament".   Unless you have the original 500 (I do) it's just a 440 block

Go for it -  but I don't believe it will give any added value to just any cg 500. Remember that when you make an offer.

To much of a gamble for me to spend $$$ on a 'maybe' block without personally checking it out before crossing someones palm with $$$  Check with Big Block Sam for a 440 engine - probably spend less and know what you're getting.

Rick from Ky

uh oh...  looks like reality and the free market may have been a little less than the secretary imagined...

I was high bidder, btw.

Ahh well, looks like storage room for the 'nose' and wait for the auction.  :shruggy:Better than stock at this time - one mans junk another mans treasure.  Back to the treasure chest ;) :icon_smile_big: hmm could make a clone or sell it to the guy in California who's stocking up on parts instead of 'stocks' for the reserve?  Or, Duh - the guy who bought my daytona (good idea)   Sorry stu, guess that clone will get a $$$ repo after all???

Watch for next week treasure sale - don't miss this one :nana: :2thumbs:

hmmm stu are you ever off-line?  I'm telling Carolyn on Doug - mom will get him but good :hah: :hah: :nana:

I believe those hernia surgery pains must rival child birth judging by how Ricks moaning around trying to get sympathy.  :pity: He's survived the attorney for now, not enough good bids.  :icon_smile_big: Of course he can now stop building a crate for the nose and half ass it like all the other stuff he does.

Yes keep talking he's certainly burning my ears off.  Been walking at the Mall/shopping for a few hours every morning just to give my ears a break.

OOPS! Here he comes.  Not to worry he'll be to busy talking to read this------ ;)   P.S.  found the picture of the daytona complete with cb antenna and lights.  Will post it if my scanner cooperates!
