Nice car... Believe it's Mario's old car from Michigan that's gone through some transmission transformations... They emailed me about 3 weeks ago after I showed some interest in it about 6 month earlier... They are asking about $125K.................  Looks to be pretty solid and a 4-speed.................

yeah looks a Awesome  car    ....  all the factory undercoating  looks good ....  wonder what the trunk floor is like though under the paint   
would make a nice matching 4 speed to DANA Troy

I like Y2, but prefer it with a white stripe.. I know that's weird for the "DAYTONA" would be hard to see, but, to me, yellow and white compliment each other...

Nice Daytona.  Anyone else notice the racing seat belt on the driver's side?
Troy, What are you referring to about "transmission" issues on the Y2 car?

When it was offered for sale a while back, it had an automatic transmission - even though it's a D21 car.  They've since converted it back to a 4-speed which definitely helps its value.

Hey Dave sounds like a pretty questionable car from your description. Looks decent enough in the pics but it has been for sale for a long time. Sounds like a car that would need a really good going over if you were considering a purchase...

I passed on that car a couple of years ago - Can't remember all the reasons why. There were quite a few things that bothered me. I could not get a straight answer on the engine and some other things. I did not feel comfortable with the answers I got. I just remember my brain telling me, "Run, Forrest, Run!"
Remember, when you want something really bad - that's what you usually end up with.

If its the Y2 yellow Daytona I owned years ago its definitely not original.  When I traded it off, it didn't even have a Daytona nose on it.  It had a 1969 Charger front end which would support the fact this one has a fiberglass nose.

Mario's former car is indeed a real Daytona AFAIK - unless someone has done a rebody on it that has been concealed to this point.

I'm thinking that comment has something to do with hctub's former ride?

No I meant that the car was not totally original.  It was an original Daytona but when it left my house it had a 69 Charger front end on it.  Some guy in Las Vegas had it years earlier and it had the Charger front end on it then.  Sorry for the confusion.

Don't want to get anybody upset but I looked at this car in San Diego about 6 years ago on a dealer's lot. I remember that there were no holes cut into top of fenders and the nosecone was not willing to let a magnet hold on. It was a decent car though. It had racing belts and no headrests. I also recall a question about the back, possibly the wing, that did not seem right.
