Looks like the one I was chasing a few years back in the midwest area.
Do we know if it's an original 6 pack car?  The one I was looking at had it added- it was a U code car.

I don't remember seeing this one for sale the last few years.  Interesting to see how high it goes.
My name is Mike and I'm a Moparholic!

you may be correct; the auction details for this one do not specify it is a factory six barrel, like they do for the blue car selling at the same auction. i will change the thread title, but the first two replies will still show the v

did they sell THREE birds at this event?

after a little double checking, there were three cars at the sale.

the first one shown below, a v-code automatic with a fresh resto, brought less than the car with much older paint? even with the four speed, that's somewhat of a surprise, especially if the six barrel is an add-on.

it also looks like b5 is worth at least a 50k premium.

That blue one was a higher caliber resto ( not to mention a nicer color  :D ) than those other ones with a color identity chrisis  ( " Am I red, or am I orange??  :shruggy:  )  :nana:

i wonder if the extra sticker on the air cleaner lid cost the blue car a bid or two.

some might say i'm jaded, but one thing is for sure ..... b5 >>> every other color

70EK2Bird

I was watching the auction on Friday night when all the Cyclones went across the block.  Then when the lot F308 bird goes across they go to commercial come back right as it is leaving and get to see the 2004 Mercedes cross the block.   :brickwall:

Never understand why they do that.

They suck like that.  You can never see too many crappy $20k "restomods," though.

Those Mercury Cyclones went for super cheap! As I remember, it was something like 23k and 25k !

They always seem to go to commercial when the interesting MOPARS are on the block! :brickwall: I get so sick of seeing GM and Ford restomods I could puke!  :flame:

I cannot believe all the airtime they give the Jags and Mercedes that are just a few years old and sell for a fraction of their sticker price when new! Who, the hell, cares for those POS? :RantExplode:
