when replacing floor pans or doing any sort of repairs underneath ill have my car resting on jack stands at all 4 corners (im poor...cant afford a lift haha).  question is do i need to make sure that the jacks are prefectly level and where would be the best place to put the stands at???  i was thinking of putting the stands on the control arms and axle (dont worry i know safety precautions).

Drop Top

Place them on the main frame rails where the crossmembers intersect. If you put them on the axle and control arms there will be too much give from the springs it wont be solid. If you put them too far towards the bumpers the car will want to flex or sway in the middle.
