And now you are a confirmed carrier of the disease...  In the old days there was Typhoid Mary, and now MoparStuart infects people causing them to spend money they don't have on 40 year old Mopars!   :icon_smile_wink:  :smilielol:  :smilielol:  :smilielol:

Sounds like your adopted dad gave you the same bug my dad gave me Stuart. I thought that everyone had a handful of winged cars when I was 5 years old. If someone didn't have at least 3 winged cars then we didn't seem to visit them very often. We spent a lot of time with Dave Jones, Mike Atkins, and Jim Walton. Seems everywhere we went there was at least 3 or more winged cars if not a few lowly 500's sitting around being neglected. JK about the 500's they were sitting around though, just didn't pay too much attention to them back then.

I remember being in 1st grade though and learning how to read a fender tag and VIN tag from my dad. I remember going to a show with him, and him holding me up so I could tell him what it was and what options it should have. When I got them wrong he would tell me. which in 1st grade was quite often. I do much better now with 25 more years of practice. (1st grade was in 1983, man that seems like a long time ago, but to others 1983 was probably after high school)  :nana:

Oh man do I feel old, 83 is when I graduated. I bought my first Mopar (1969 Runner) in 1984, a co-worker told me it was a 69 Charger R/T which is what I wanted at the time. After seeing it I thought it was still pretty cool and for the big sum of $1800 I ended up taking her home a few days later. Looking back I should have stayed the course and got the 69 Charger that I really wanted. I guess now it doesn't matter because I do have the Charger.

I keep telling my wife that I was born at least 15 years too late to be around when all the stuff I really liked was first out. She doesn't listen to me though.

here is what bev had to say about the white interior and decals on the hemi bird

On our Hemi Bird--the interior was the black and silver bench as you see on so many of the birds.  We just thought the white buckets would set it off, as it was a 4 speed on the floor.  The decals were white, though.  When we bought it there were the two rear panels & the wing that were original, and they were white.  I know most of the Vitamin C orange birds had black decals, but, again, with the white interior, it really sets it off.

they put a console and console pistol grip & buckets in it , so they changed to white at that time.
