Charcoal canisters..are they really important?

Somebody unhooked all the charcoal canister stuff in my Duster. '73 318. It's all there but all disconnected. Should I re-connect it or just remove all the stuff?

It's your call then really, the charcoal canister isn't going to affect your performance one way or the other.

It reduces emissions slightly . Saves gas slightly. Except for the small weight penalty, it does not effect performance. The stock gas tank and cap are designed to work with the canister. If you remove it you have to vent the fuel tank.
