Well, of the three "O's" after the "XS29", only the second makes sense.   The first one is engine size, the second one is year, and the third is assembly plant.   There must be a misprint there somewhere.

ok   I'll get back to yo with the corrections

More than likely XS29L0G218482

XS29....Charger R/T

L....  440 Magnum 4 bbl

0....1970 model year

G.....St Louis assy plant

218482....sequence #

Unless you have a Hemi car then the 5th would be a "J" or a Six pack then it would be a "V"

Thanks.     My mother in law is going out behind the barn to take another look.   You are probably right on.... no Hemi or 6-Pak car here......unless I add it!

Thanks

BTW, Someone stole the fender tag off the car :icon_smile_angry: :icon_smile_angry: :icon_smile_angry:

Lowprofile, your VIN would be XS29U0G218482. The "L" was a '69 thing (for RT's), which is why Chris had it on the brain.   :icon_smile_wink:

What makes you guys so certain that its a G instead of a B?

Man can't believe that someone would fix a post that fast.

Danny, ALL 1970 Chargers were built in St. Louis. The G would be correct for this car. What's the B for?

Have you always had this I swear I saw that one for sale did you buy it recently?

Look pretty decent?

I've owned the car for 12 years. Because of my job & horrible divorce 7 years ago, I haven't spent much time or money on it. Other than to pay storage & move it around the country.

LP sorry to hear about the Divorce.... You ever need an indoor spot and are in Fargo, ND let me know.... I am sure I could wedge it in the shop...

I must have seen the pictures here then.... I just remember seeing it somewhere.

Again she looks pretty solid...

No worries bro, the divorce was one of the best thing thats happened to me. If not for that, I would have never met my new wife.  :2thumbs:  She's a ford girl [65 Stang fastback] but I think I'll keep her anyway!

Hopefully, this winter/spring, I'll be able to start on the Resto/Modifacation of the Charger.

Now I'm sure you know what the B is right Chris ;)

The B in the VIN is the plant code for Hamtramck, MI.

69 Chargers were either built at the "B" plant or the "G" plant.......
