Speedometer Question

This kind of goes along with my console electrical issues but is actually mechanical. For some reason, my speedometer starts at 50 mph not 0 mph. When I drive, it does go up from 50. Is there a way to adjust the needle back to 0 mph?

Thanks,

Mine does the same thing.     I took it out and spun the magnetic thingamajigger back the other way to zero it out again.  But to no avail.....it went up again and stayed there.  I'm guessing there's supposed to be some sort of stop to keep it at home position.  Someone will chime in with the answer....which I'm looking forward to.

Is there no knowledge out there regarding this speedometer question?

You need a new head for the speedometer. We have one that starts at 25 and we need to replace the head too.

Can the head be purchased and change it yourself or does it have to be sent away to be repaired?

Try to find one on parts forum or ebay. You should be able to change it out yourself. I'll check with a friend of ours he may have one.
