helping friend of mine restore a superbird that has been out of circulation for a while. I was just in seattle and as always when visiting my buddies shop he puts me to work . I was just helping him do the final blocking on a bird. it is almost ready for primer. as all the panels have been fit refit blocked and guidecoated a few times now is final final blocking then primer. this is an overrestored car beyond belief as thats the way the owner wants it. every square inch will eventually be colorsanded and polished door jambs trunk floor the bottom of the car etc.

it is a bench seat vitamin c v code 4 speed all numbers matching car. it will be the straightest superbird in existence . been in his shop for 4 years now which means it has done all the major shrinking. had to put on new quarter skins -trunk floor  all seams were releaded.  After primer it will sit for 3 months before blocking starts.all you number gurus can do some research on it as I am also interested in its history.   RM23VOA166238    so let us all know what you can about its history.

i seem to remember seeing a picture of a superbird  in bare metal  sometime ago (years) :scratchchin:  can't really remember !!  but it did have the nose cone & wing still fitted ..like it was assembled  to show how straight it was ,  i could be getting mixed up with a resto project  of  someones though & not the one mentioned above for sale   :shruggy:  :popcrn:

this car was stripped last year and reassembled to get all the gaps straight. it has new quarter skins put on and a lot of lead workdone. it was disassembled then epoxy primed then reassembled again and skim coated then blocked. Jimmy is priming it next week then letting it sit for three months. I might go down again and see if he wants me to help block the primer out this winter.

All the running gear is with the owner getting rebuilt. it will be up for sale . i believe hes taking it to baret jackson.
