Hi

My name is Mario and I live in Germany near Heidelberg.
This is my ´68 Charger. I have bought this car 2 years ago here in Germany.
It´s not a R/T. It has a 383 with 4-speed.
Last year I put on  the disc brake conversation kit from Master Power Brakes
with a power booster.
I enjoy the Charger very much. American cars are pretty rare here. But there are several
US-car shows. And we also have a Mopar car show once a year.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Eat me!.......................lmao.  I'm  merely ahead of my time. I have vision! At this point in time I wanted something different in the sea of rallies , magnums & mags. A little bit of A12 on the car looks all business if not plain.  Haven't made my mind up on the poverty caps yet. They  look sorta sissy on there. Cool thing about tires & rims is you can lose them & change. I'll be like Almeda Marcos  & have a garage full of tires & rims instead of shoes.

Aussiemadonmopars

My Charger. From the most isolated capital city in the world - Perth, Western Australia.  ;)

G'day from WA.

Dodge Chargers seem to be everywhere around the world.

Crazy Larry

Hey, Aussiemadonmopars - welcome aboard! I've been to Australia quite a few times and you guys rock! The women are lovely there too - plus you guys gave birth to the Mad max movies. Now, if only we could get Mel to do another one, but this time with a Charger instead of that Ford Falcon.

tan top

hi there. Aussiemadonmpars, welcome!  whats the story on your charger then , how did it end up in Austraila , by the looks of things you are going to be busy for a while  . it looks to be an R/T,  are going to  restore it  to factory original or do some custom work to it.
Feel free to post any relevant picture you think we all might like to see in the threads below!

Aussiemadonmopars

Hi Guys, (Crazy Larry & Tan Top) and everyone else,

I picked up the Charger on e-bay in Feb of 2004 from a guy near Radford Virginia and by the time we got a shipping container sorted it was August by the time it got here. Its only a H code car, someone painted on the stripe on the back. We also bought over a couple of pick-ups and parts.
A friend of mine has quite a collection of Mopar stuff including a 69 Runner, 73 Cuda & a 74 SE 360 4sp Cuda.
As for the mad max movies, there is an Aussie Charger in Mad Max 2. Its an E55 340 Charger which are the racing model over here. They were built to compete with the Phase 4 Falcon and the Xu1 Holden Torana from General Motors.
From what I can gather they were based on the 6 pack 340's from the states but with a single 600 carter carb.
They would have been a formidable force but the wowsers complained that the cars were too fast for the streets and should never be made public. Still about 500 or so were made.
I've started doing the panel work on the Charger now but I've just seen one for sale locally and it looks to be an ex general lee from warner brothers, going in today to check out what a AU$90,000 car looks like. US exchange rate currently about 0.70 so you guys do the math.
