I like it.  By the trophy display I'd say I'm not the only one either.

Hi guys, just joined the forum. I'm from the UK, have wanted a (proper) American car since seeing films and tv shows as a kid in the 70's. After having a few VW's I finally got my first V8! It's a 66, 383 with 4 speed manual and SureGrip rear. As far as I can see it is original paint, very straight apart from a small scrape on rear drivers wing (fender to you guys?) and small ding in chrome trim on front of hood. It's an Oregon car, very solid with only weak spots being in the floor pan at front where feet rest on both sides, it looks like water has been in and sat at some point in its life to cause this, I'm guessing it was parked nose down at the time as from the front seats back it is really nice! Engine was already rebuilt with stock parts and it's still running in. It's got some new/refurbed bits like alternator, fuel pump, radiator, 2 1/2" exhaust. I have a bunch of jobs to do, many small, some big and I havnt got a clue what I'm doing so be gentle! Oh I have the Certi card, build sheet, factory check list, original bill of sale which is nice to have. Anyway enough of me babblin on, this is it,

Congratulations and welcome to the group.  The fastback Chargers are endearing and the longer you own the more you will like it.  Very cool cars.

That is a very nice 66!  Love those interiors.  Welcome aboard

Welcome XP29, that is a very nice 66' Charger.  :2thumbs:
Makes you wonder how that small ding got in the chrome trim on front of the hood (bonnet to you guys?) :icon_smile_wink:
You have the paper work also, how cool.
You can babble on as much as you like about Dodge Chargers, but you have to send pictures along.

Thanks guys, I'm guessing the dings in the trim might have come from when it was shipped over. I've been building a to do list, I'm sure it will grow! But this is it for now,

Big issue is getting front floors repaired, otherwise it's bits like,
Headlight motors repaired
Look at carb as it's not liking to start in the cold
Find a glovebox liner
I have power to rear passenger cabin light, but not the other three lights (lamps are good)
Have no power to  turn signal tell tale lights on dash pod, no lights work thinking about it, but the gauges do.
Rev counter not working
Mechanism that switches heat (in big black box behind dash) has rusted solid.
Horn worked, but now there us just a "clunking" noise from relay on firewall

Radio works though!

Broadcast sheet is pretty cool

Oh and I need an R as we just have a CHARGE at the moment

Nice original looking 66. Maybe some ground problems to deal with, but that's part of the fun of ownership.
Still looking for 15x7 Appliance slotted mags.....

Thanks, yes I'm thinking ground issues might be the cause for a lot of what's not working. Have he manual printed off so can get the dash pod out and see how I go from there.
