Hey Dan.  Welcome to the Charger Board.  That last one looks like a keeper.
My first Mope was a '68 Coronet R/T, fastest I've ever been in a car was in that one.  Found another one I'd like to have actually.

Back in '85 wearing my "REAL MEN DRIVE MOPARS" shirt.

Naah, it was a console auto with a suregrip 3:23.  I had it in storage for about 10 years straight while I owned it.  Before I performed a rotisserie resto on it I checked the #'s and it had a HP motor out of a 69 Charger according to VIN.  PO told me it was the original motor.  Torsion bar sub frame had rust and the rusted rear quarters were overlapped with the new stuff.  Stuff that didn't matter when I paid $2500 for it.

The new Charger is frowned upon here.  I imagine they could have named it something else but it's only a name, IMO.  When my wife gets out of school I imagine I'll have the purple one to replace my 300m, need the 4 door more than 2.

I dont have time to play the "its not a real Charger" games, its a 13-second, 150 mph V8/RWD car, end of story.  Besides its my work car and its light years better than the Crown Vic it replaced.  I doubt that "the Man" is gonna let me run it down the quarter, but lets just say, I need to know what the capabilities of my equipment are :icon_smile_big:

I dont think Ive been anyones hero before!

I myself believe that the new Charger deserves the name. Even if Chrysler kept the Charger without discontinuing it, it would look like this. A company has to evolve with the times. Ya can't argue with 13 sec 1/4 mile passses.  I love the Charger. 4 doors and all. :drool5: Someone who knocks one apparently hasn't driven one.
