Thanks to everyone for their input on tire/wheel combos. I'm leaning toward Charger1's setup with Magnum wheels from Summit............great price for magnums. I ran Goodyear Eagle GT's on my Chevelle and liked the ride.

A quick aside, but you do know what the Challenger TA means now correct?

mikepmcs

I would assume it means the same as the Pontiac T/A. Trans Am right??

Yes.  Pontiac had scooped them by a year as far as being able to use the entire name so they just used the initials.

Pontiac paid the Trans Am organization $1.00 per car built.  I doubt Dodge had to though.  Afterall T/A coulda stood
for anything - even though as an homologation figure strictly built so that Dodge could go Trans Am racing the reference
is obvious :yesnod:

I read many years ago, that Pontiac also scooped Dodge on useing woodgrain and "Engine Tuned Aluminum" on dash board facias,.. I wish I could remember the source, but all I remember it was a Chrysler exec... I hate to give info without an accurate source... I also read that the front of the Dart/Scamp was designed to accept rectangular headlites but the DOT Regs took several more years to enter the books so they just made do with the Regular sealed beams till the '80s...

they can have all that crap.....ma mopar invented disk brakes! :icon_smile_big:
Remember the average response time to a 911 call is over 4 minutes.

The average response time of a 357 magnum is 1400 FPS.

What year?  Jag raced with discs at Le Mans in 55.

Developed and patented in England in 1902 and first used on Lanchester cars from that era.  Modern styled discs were first used on Crossley's in 1949.  Chrysler Imperials offered a form of disc brake in 1949 that worked more in the opposite way with the discs expanding outward against stationary pads.
