Oh my god - They stole my car, painted it blue and butchered the engine compartment  :o

Anyone know the VIN on this one?

nascarxx29

XX29L9B355101 is the blue car .The other daytona with 6000 miles is the Dressler daytona XX29L9B356530.lost in the 50s also had those 2 Hemi daytonas 1 was the green IRS car .Other was a Red Hemi daytona project. The other orange daytona might be this one.And that superbird hemi might be a car I used to know .When I lived in Houston .Got to check my pictures RM23ROA162306.If this vin gets confirmed I know this cars life story and got a copy of its buildsheet. And what a life it had. From NY to NJ to TX

Thanks Dave

That car is the 264th on the list - over halfway through production - Where do they get the "first off the assembly line" stuff from.....oh yeah - they just make it up!  :icon_smile_big:

Is it the lowest VIN other than the Reeker car?

unrulyprocuda

yea i never believe what a car salesman has to say about most cars especially when they are chevy guys usually and they just buy mopars because thats what brings the big money

nascarxx29

You cant trust Chevy guy facts or any others. As example for the 1 of 1 public relations daytona .And Y2 daytona that came through with wrong motor. So when these claims come up they can be disproven in a heartbeat. As by the knowledge gained by sharing this info.Jim car is the first 1 listed as seen on page 1

Then 356538 Which shows as first US daytona.Jims car first Canadian daytona. On the list it has Jims canada car 414619 first to be shipped. And 2nd car is the US daytona 356538 .On this shipment page you see Jims car starts the list off

the great thing about mopars is with all the  vin stampings and the history buffs here on this forum it is great unmasking the chevy guys lack of knowlege on these cars.  There are so many fake z-28's out there it is mindboggling. I knew a guy with a stamping kit and was making fake rare camaros. When I see one on the big auctions on tv  I have to laugh to myself listening to the supposed history of those cars .

69_500

The B5 blue car in the ad being listed as the 1st one off the line is one of the Daytona's that my dad owned when I was little. That car does has some interesting history to it, but nothing as exceptional as being the first one done. It was a nice solid car when he had it, but not a numbers matching car.

Superbirdtom, I kid you not there is a guy who lives around the corner from me who has "made" more than one 69 Pace Car Camaro using 69 Firebirds.  Apparently he can get the Firebirds cheaper than the Chev and with just some minor sheet metal change he can make it a Camaro.  Slap on a decal package and wait for a sucker.
