could be both - I bet a spot weld stud welder was used - then a slide hammer -  But i agree - looks to be spot welds - filler usually looks like worms rather than lumps...   :smilielol:

Unless someone broke them off after they got hard.....Looks like pull holes to me.

They appear to be spots made by a stud welder. Look similar to spot welds. The nose may have had a small dent from being handled. Shouldn't affect the value. You just sand or grind the area back smooth...no harm done.

Really?  I can only conclude that he means a V2 paint code and not an engine code.

And I'm going to guess that all 3 of those Daytona's that are a "V" code actually say XX29 L 9B on the fender tag. Ok so its not a guess its more of a statement.

Dave,you never know.Frank Mitchell paid $8500 for a "real" N.O.S nosecone about 1 1/2 yr ago.Re-listed it on EBay two weeks later for $16k,I understand he sold it.
