Are you referring to the overall situation or just the housing?

If it helps, here are some of my '68 Charger R/T I used to have.......... I believe though for the '70 model year, your leaf springs should be painted the same black. In '68, the leaf springs were natural...... The housing U-bolts are the incorrect ones. I changed them out later on. I believe I got them from Roger Gibson, the new ones I mean.
