Got caught short over the lunch hour. The big drops started about 1/2 mile from the house and it was starting in earnest by the time I got the garage opened-up & the car mostly in it...

Not all bad, really, as it had gotten dusty with the cover of of it (for easier access). Today's lunch was going to be the last one for a while anyway  (July/August and big blocks just don't mix well here).

Peaceful slumber now until the cooler days of autumn arrive.

I was in Pennsylvania for the Carlisle show. On Saturday, a mean mamma jamma rain cell came through and drenched the area. Afterwards, the clouds parted and it felt really nice.
I've never been to a car show where it rained this hard. Most of the people just hid under pop up tents and waited it out. A few people packed up and left.

My memories of Pennsylvania are largely of rain and overcast days (winters there can be simply abysmal and largely why it's referred to as "the Rust Belt"). It can really pour there, and for days on end.  Makes for lots of greenery and big deep hardwood forests. You mostly adapt; and when a nice day finally shows up you hustle to take advantage of it.

Here in Denver it's mostly sunny (300 days a year is the somewhat-suspicious claim, although it's probably not all that far-off). I actually enjoy the fairly-rare rainy day here.

Yeah, it is an interesting thing when you live in an area where rain is actually something that you enjoy since it happens so infrequently.
