Removal of lower quarter skin reveals hardly any rust!!!!   Some muriatic acid, a good rinse, and some por-15......good to go!!!    Very VERY little surface rust.  I'm surprised considering the condition of the skin!!   Yes....the little rust spot above the cut will be removed and a little piece welded in...i didn't forget it....lol

bull

How are you going to cut that knob out? Hole saw?

TylerCharger69

By using an electricians punch kit to remove the bad.....it will be a perfect circle.....then I'll use that as a template to make a new piece to tack in it's place!!!  I'll post the procedure when the time comes here real shortly

Greenlee!!!   You got it!!!!  The exact tool!!!  The one in the green case.   Im going to get a replacement piece from AMD or as cheap as I can find one....unless of course some generous soul would find it in his heart to send me one (or both sides)  from a donor car....(hint hint)  :smilielol:      Oh man just the sound of that sentence made me laugh a bit....

twodko

Tyler,

If I had a parts car piece I'd send it to ya.
