Painting the steel wheel for the Daytona clone.  Should it be flat, Gloss, or semi gloss?  How long should the jack pole be?

Thanks ! can some one post up a pic or two of how the jack is mounted in the trunk.  I am using a third gen jack pole that may be longer than a 69.  Sorry, I am trying to get the car ready for Monster Mopar.

I'll have your scissor jack finished this week. All I have to do is weld the nub on and paint it.
I'll bring the scissor jack handle as well.

Thanks Larry, after I mount that the trunk should be complete.  How do you mount the scissor jack?  Do I need anything spring cable etc. to mount it?

You'll need to add a stud, a retainer and a wing nut.
Here's a couple of pics.

I wouldn't go 100% gloss - maybe 10-12% flattened....they were fairly glossy - not full gloss.

:brickwall: I seem to do this more and more often :RantExplode: I just bought a 15" steel wheel for a spare in the daytona. Cost $20 + $20 to have shipped.  I was pretty sure I have a brand new Spring for the jack and was searching in the garage at the mopad for it.  Guess what I found in a cabinet hidden behind the spare 340 ?  How did you guess a 15" steel rim in better shape than the one I bought :shruggy:  I was sure I sold it two years ago at Monster mopar :brickwall:  I really need to get my stuff organized and get rid of things I Don't need (like spare 340) but as soon as I sell some thing, that will be the thing I need :Twocents: :slap:

"as soon as I sell some thing, that will be the thing I need"

That's my life story. Every time I sell something, I end up needing it later and then I have to pay twice the price for it. That's why I'm such a hoarder now.

BTW, your scissor jack will be red. The jack in the pic that I posted earlier is of a black Superbird jack in a Daytona. I just noticed that mistake.
I welded the nub on and painted your jack earlier this week. All I have to do now is paint the handle. I'll do that at the same time that I paint my jack and handle.
