wing bolts for the horizontal stabilizer

Could some one tell me if the bolts are phosphate or stainless? (black or silver) Ive seen both offered for sale and dont know which is correct. My originals look to be phosphate.

I recall them black  You may also have full splines around the allen head.And replacement bolts have half spline a border and other half splined on the allen head   :Twocents:

The wing was painted after assembly if you're trying to match how they did it originally, but it's your car and the wing won't fall off if you choose to finish it another way that suits you better.

I've also seen silver cad or silver zinc (sorry Jim, I still stink at distinguishing plating types) on NOS cap screws, and there are variations in how much of the head has knurling or splines.

Im not sure what the procedure was when they were built,but I painted mine together. I did all the body work to it together too,I just took it apart to clean up the edges each time. When It was time for paint I sanded it all together and then took it apart and sanded the edges so the paint coulnt "bridge" bolted the assembly to a table top and painted it.

My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

They painted the wings with lacquer for quick dry.? Was it fully assembled where hardware got painted to

You nailed the finishes my brother! You and I also noticed some differences in original hardware when you were over at my shack. P.S. - Avoid stainless - It doesn't play well with cast aluminum!
