Daytona wing brace hardware

I've been lurking around a while and this is my first post here. I'm going through my Daytona (that I purchased over the summer) and I'm replacing/repairing a whole slew of small items. Currently, I'm now concentrating on the trunk. The hardware holding my wing braces together is a mish-mash of stuf; can anyone please tell me if the bolts (pictured below the bumper jack) are 1/4" diameter or 5/16 diameter?

Thanks in advance.   :2thumbs:

I have 1/4" bolting the braces together and 5/16" bolting them thru to the trunk floor.  :shruggy:

Actually, that's one of Frank B's pictures. My car is R4, 440, auto, ps, & pdb. 61,000 miles & never any rust. The car was "done over" in the early to mid 1990's & while it's not perfect, it does look good from 5' away. It's a pretty straight car. Over the past couple of months, I've been picking away at a bunch of small items that it needs. My goal is not to make a 100 point show car, rather, I want to drive & enjoy it. The previous owner owned it for 13 years & put on less than 1,000 miles on it. Now, If I could figure out how to upload pictures, I'd throw a couple up here.  :shruggy:

This is my 3rd Daytona; the 1st one I bought in 1979, the 2nd one I bought in the early 90's. In fact, here's a video of my first Daytona years after I sold it.......

That goes back to 1981 or 1982 at the Chrysler Proving Grounds. When I sold the car a few years prior it did have a stripe. When I saw it out there, it had a repaint, no stripe, & the Keystones. That car had quarters replaced and they were blended in to the door jamb with no seam showing. The car had been done over by a place called New England Tech, which was a Corvette shop in Massachusetts. I guess it had some pretty good rot issues.  Also, (if my memory serves me correctly) it had a fiberglass nose cone. It was a 440, auto, with power windows.

When you click the "reply" button, you get the new message window... At the bottom, you'll see the "Attach" area. From there, you'll click the "Browse.." botton and it'll launch a window that sees the file directory tree of your computer... Find the file you want to upload (has to be smaller than 200Kb) and click "OK"... Done...

Click on the blue highlighted " (more attachments) " script to add an additional photo attachment line.  This can be done up to three times per reply.

Click on the " Browse " button to open up the directory on your PC, where you have to locate the picture you'd like to post.  Some things to keep in mind:
       >>  The file type must be .jpg, .gif, .png or .pdf
       >>  The file size must be below 200KB each (often requires resizing of the photo with an application such as MS Paint or other graphics-type software)
       >>  The file must have a unique name that has not been used - ever - on the DodgeCharger.com board.  This usually requires you to rename the file to something different than how you probably have it saved on your PC... a convenient time to do this is when you resize the photo, since saving it under a different name also means you retain the original (large file size) photo on your hard drive.

There are a number of threads in the " Help Desk " section of the forum which discuss these topics in much greater detail:

I dunno. Over on the "Attach" section (on the left), I can attach the desired picture & put them in the allotted space (4 in total), but I see no button to upload them. The only buttons I have are post, preview, & spell check.

The car really is in very, very nice shape. I'm told that it was sold originally in Reno, NV & it spent most of its life in Washington state. The car went to PA in 1997 & I brought it to MA last August. The body is pretty darned good, but there's just a whole lot of little things that are messed up. As you can imagine, having sat for all this time, everything started to leak. The radiator was sent out to WI and while the car's been out of commission, I've been going to town on my list of issues. Over the winter, I plan on going through the front end & also get the dash face plates &  guage cluster done over.

One additional question: What can I use to "putty up" the sides of the stainless A-pillar pieces?

Here's the car a few years later ('81 or '82?) at the Proving Grounds sporting a new (lighter) paint job, Keystones, door edge protectors & a key alarm in the front fender. That's the owner, Crash Gordon. I talked breifly with him & the only thing that I remember about him was that he was a turd.
