The more I look at it the more wrong stuff I see.....hate to be picky but for that kind of scratch the details should have been right.

clue me in please   :shruggy:

And the molding for the interior a-pillar shouldn't be white....... Never made them in white... White interior cars would have had black a-pillar molding to match the black dash and the fender bolts should be painted body color.

Would love to have it and have a detail-party on it.....

To add to the above

Shock washers, heater hose strap is black, heater hoses routed wrong, unpainted check valve on brake booster, the engine looks Chevy Orange, wrong dipstick tube, wrong battery. Most of the aforementioned stuff is easier to fix - just time and a bunch of money  (buy a proper distributor, carb etc). The unpainted fender and hood hinge bolts (and possibly an engine re-paint) would be a pita to fix in comparison. The whole point is - If we can spot 10-20 things wrong in just a couple of pics, you know the whole car was done wrong. So what is it really worth? If someone is looking for Hemi money on a 440 - it better be perfect.

Don't look in the trunk, black crinkle paint everywhere :o

even with all the "flaws" this car has though, it still looks pretty good, especially  with the white interior. I'd still take it, just not for what he wants for it. Again as maxwellwedge said, "If someone is looking for Hemi money on a 440 - it better be perfect."

Dang you guys know your stuff.  :yesnod:
No matter how expensive the car is, I always notice many cars console covers don't line up perfect and flat.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Aero426

If 74k bid was real money,  that ought to be getting pretty close in todays market for a 500.

yeah thats true !!  spent hours trying to do mine !!  finally got it  , but once  screwed the console to the floor/ brackets  , it put it out of alignment again ,  should of put shims between  console attaching points & floor / brackets "" , but  left it as this was the second to last part to fit !  to complete the rebuild , if you check out the  69 charger 500 road test on youtube  ,  the console lid on that car don't lign up  :shruggy:  :scratchchin:

Your doing good if you can get a console lid to line up perfectly. Nice car either way. If you wont a 100% you will have to carry out some work.

Wow no kidding, a brand new car too?  I love that video, my all time favorite.

69_500

Call me mean, but if he turned down $74K for that car he isn't wanting to sell it. With the economy the way it is, and based on wha I've seen other 500's going for I'd say he was doing very well to even get an offer of over $60K for that car. Now 2 years ago yes he could have been up around $85 maybe even $90, but not in todays world. Especially for a non-numbers matching car.

I call you a realist. I also believe that today's selling prices will be around for quite a while.

Call me mean but I'm glad for that.  I always felt they were way way to high.  I would lose money on my car also since I bought it in 2007 when we all had money.

69_500

I will admit it is a much nicer 500 than the one I have in my garage, and its a 4 speed which I don't have in the garage. But I'm holding out for a Daytona so someone else can have it. Well that and the fact that I'm short of the price if he is turning down $74K. Which is more than I'd be offering.

Highbanked Hauler

That car must have been the next one in line behind mine because that one is five numbers higher than mine. :Twocents:
